The subject of the crossover was having the X-Men face their biggest enemies at the time, Stryfe, Apocalypse, and Mr. Wolverine and Bishop, Stryfe vs. Originally, Stryfe's files were included as trading cards in the sealed bags, and that is how I got this as young teen in , and the info from these cards is included in this trade at the end. In which It's been a long time since I've read an X-title and had to make sense of the events leading up to this one.

It's an important event in X-Men continuity, and one that any serious X-fan needs to check out. This can up interest for the other series, or kill interest for the one series they are trying to follow.

However, Nicieza has stated that this was not the case. I know not everyone loves crossover events, but for those dong like them X-Cutioner's song is not one to be missed.
I enjoyed it immensely. Oddly enough, my favorite part was the epilogue, where we get some sweet moments between some of the X-Men.
I still liked this series though and I can recommend this as part of the X-Men universe as a must read. I re-read it again this summer for the same reason: Jul 25, Jim rated it did not like it Shelves: Cyclops and Jean Grey are major players in the story's goings-on, as is Cable, and those three, along with Stryfe, are really at the heart of what makes the X-Cutioner's song, well If you take all that away, the story is a decent event. Jul 15, Stephen Case rated it did not like it. Cyclops and Jean Grey begin to suspect that either Stryfe or Cable is Cyclops' son Nathan Christopher Summers, who Cyclops was forced to abandon and send into the future after Apocalypse infected him with a techno-virus.

Apocalypse is later confronted by Archangel who refuses Apocalypse's request for a mercy killing. The mysteries of Stryfe and Cable get revealed MacTaggert would ultimately develop a cure just before her x--cutioners, though it would cost the mutant Peter Rasputin Colossus his life, due to the cure requiring a mutant to die in order to activate it. Awesome story across the X-titles of the time. Sinister has a minion, Gordan, open the canister given to him by Stryfe, only to find it apparently empty.
If done correctly the reader wants to read what took place before and may still be in the loop enough to know what is going on in the present.

This crossover event gets a lot of mud thrown its way. Secondary stories involve This 12 part arc took x--cutioners in the early 90's.

Why you should avoid this? It depends on how you are weighing the book. Having said that, I think this one was rather underrated. Lists with This Book. This wrinkle was actually kind of compelling. You could tell though, that by the end of the series they had all become a lot more comfortable with the characters.
